All Natural Health Products

All products we sell and represent have to meet certain criteria. They must be 100% all natural with no harmful chemicals, no artificial colors, dyes and flavors, non-GMO, no added chimical fillers or preservatives, no artificial or synthetic hormones, ethically produced and tested without any side effects and manufactured in an approved facility with good manufacturing practices. Natural Health Products are regulated in Canada by the Natural and Non-prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD), under the Natural Health Products Regulations (NHPR). When purchasing a Natural Health Product supplement it is all about labeling. Make sure the above mentioned criteria are in place and that you see a NPN or a DIN-HM on the label. This way you know that your Natural Health Product has met the requirements and is safe and effective. 

And from the non-exaustive list of Dietary Supplement Ingredient Advisory List, the FDA is asking manufacturers to avoid selling, making or distributing supplements that include any of the following, as they need further investigation and testing:

1,4-DMAA, 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin, Andarine, Bismuth nitrate, N-Methyltyramine, Octopamin, Sodium tetrachloroaurate and Sulbutiamine. 

The FDA has not engaged in rulemaking to establish a formal definition for the term “natural” but they have a longstanding policy concerning the use of “natural” in human food labeling.

“The FDA has considered the term “natural” to mean that nothing artificial or synthetic (including all color additives regardless of source) has been included in, or has been added to, a food that would not normally be expected to be in that food”.
